My facebook status...a year ago

 

As many of you know, one of my top role models in life is Bob Rice. We hare a lot of the same faith walk and I really look up to him...some may say obsessed. But anyway about a year ago  he had a blog that had this:

"I wish Catholics would:
-Drop everything and pray five times a day like Muslims
-Know their faith like Mormons
-Love the Bible like Protestants
-Have the evangelistic zeal of Jehovah’s Witnesses
-Think of themselves as “God’s People” like the Jews
-Love the Eucharist like we should
Wouldn’t that be somethin’?"

 That was it just something to think about I guess. And I sat their and read it and thought wow, that would be something...I should make an effort to  do these things...So I made it a goal and my facebook status....they have a side bar thing and I am sure you all have noticed it...they will post your status from a year a go....it occured to me...WOW, that was a year ago. and I look at that and I feel like I have done a few of these things. And already did a few of them at the time and still do. But I have a challenge for all of you...Do These things  now that life teen is back this would be a great time to pick back up, maybe you lost a little bit of your zeal from the summer fun. Maybe you missed mass a handful of times. Now is the time to pick it up and start anew. The way of being God's people is this way, to PRAY, LOVE THE BIBLE, KNOW THE FAITH, TEACH THE FAITH, THINK, AND LOVE THE EUCHARIST! 

 That should be your goal no matter what your age is!
