O come all ye Twisted Sister Fans

You might say wow, Bobby you have really must be tripping on something this time. And some of you might say give me what he is on.......But no I am talking about Twisted sisters Christmas CD that came out about 2 years ago.
The story is that Dee Snyder the lead singer of Twisted sister is that he was listening to O come all ye Faithful and realized that it is the written in the same time and has the same chords just a different tempo as the song We are not going to take it. So he got the band together and they played the song really liked it and made the CD Twisted Christmas.

It is full of secular songs like I saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus and other Christmas Fav.

I just thought with Advent starting today and with 25 days till Christmas it was fitting.....sorta.

Unstoppable bible study

I am excited for this, I think that it will be a great way for teens to find joy in reading the Bible. I have always been a advocate for that.
Yay God!!!!
Hopefully I will be able to go often, it will be kind of hard.

Where did all my Friends go?

Well a lot of mine went to a great retreat 2 weeks ago, It was the 1st retreat under our new Youth Minster Father Thom (Fr. T). And it rocked we started out with a "your a good person,
I am a good person" theme cheesy and kind of funny to some degree.
But then St. Paul (Dillick) came out banging 2 pot lids, and said this is not what the theme is about and started going into that (the new theme) UNSTOPPABLE! We got into small groups and we had Epistle names Romans Galatians and such. I was in the Galatians our leaders were Beth Mike and Russ.....3 generation of Core and then Teen Core Ally and myself making 4 gen. (Lif teen Generations are every 4 year....we came up with that in small group) Anyway we had some time to write notes and then went to bed and It was the Coldest it has ever been. The heater wasn't on and well stupid me just had a small blanket. Well I woke up after a cold sleep went ate breakfast, we had our 1st session...then men's session...confession and then we ate had one more small session "what you can and can't do at free time" Lots of small group in all of this, I didn't do much during free time just chilled. We had another session where Chris Lewis gave a great witness about his struggles in life. Had dinner it was chicken.....we always used to have spaghetti what ever. Started to hang out with some awesome kids from Jackson.....I always have liked to hang out with people i usually wouldn't or haven't for awhile. It is how I met Michelle! Well back to the retreat we went to mass and we had one that was great, went to adoration where we prayed...like crazy a great witness in the middle which was very confusing, I am glad I heard it before the retreat cause I didn't pay much attention (sorry Jen) anyway I want to go back to before adoration where we had a dramatic skit, we portrayed 2 different scenes a girl at a party (Ally) with a jerk boyfriend (me) 3 drinking friends (Carli Abbey and Mary) and a reject kid (Chris Lewis) then the other side had saint Stephan (Kevin) and a bunch of stoners (hehehe) (Chase Chelsey Jen ) and Saint Paul (Chris "Ozzy" Osborne) Jesus (Chris McNeil)
and that went really well, I had to make a pass at ally and it was really hard I don't go a flit and make passes every night, so I didn't really "know" but i did really good and made multi. passes.
Then we ate and had some night time free time...played duck duck goose.......Went to bed....Sunday had our rap up session and basically went home is the short of it.

It was a great retreat and 1 more as a Teen :.-(

Good presit's vs bad presit's

I have been thinking about this for awhile. Is there such a thing as a bad presit, now I don't mean like a presit that touches kids I mean like he doesn't give good homilies or talks. I was talking to a women at the church I belong to Queen of Heaven and she always say "O yeah he is good." like once we were talking about a presit Father Stan you might of heard of him he is a rapping presit well anyway she said that phase but when talking about our own presit she is very opinionated. Proably because she deals with him daily.

I personally know I have called presit good or bad like I love the presit father John, he is one of my favor it people I have ever met or talked to ever. But I also love my own churches presit father Dave and Father Thom.

I don't think there are even priest that do a better job at giving talks or homilies it is just different priest have different things to offer you. Some priest are really good to go to confession to, for any of you non catholics that is where we with a and confess our sin (it is biblical when Jesus tells the 12 apostles that whatever the bind in heaven is binding whatever the loose in heaven is loosed). But then back on topic other Priest are good at homilies the get very introspective and you just want to clap after them because they are so good. Then there are priest that are good at answering your question about being Catholic. God gives them these gifts and tells them their vocation and they listen and then we get our priest.



To more plainly the answer the question posed is there good priest/

NO! Every Priest has his own gifts to give and they all compliment each other.

Winning Losing and the whole crazy thing

As many of you reading this blog know Green High School got a new head football coach this season..........................and I just thought posting some great things he has done this season.
well now yesterday we got our second win! now we are 2-6 and we still have a chance to be 5-5 which doesn't sound too bad.
I think Coach Stacy is a great coach he has been at the losing end and the winning end, he is not afraid to show he belifs in Jesus........we pray before we eat, play, and even after the game........I love this win or LOSE we pray............I don't know why yet maybe I won't fig. it out till the season is over but I know God put Coach here for a reason in Green Oh. I don't think he really knows either at this point but I know that there is definatly a big reason...........maybe it won't come right away it could be several years later that any of us realize it but There is a reason their always is.

even though I am only on Feild Goal (meat balls) he still coaches myself and anyone on meatballs.

He might get flack and no slack from the community but I think he will be in green for awhile
He is a great man of God and Great coach!

I know usally this blog is focussed on JESUS but i read this on yahoo news and i thought it was worth putting on hear because it is in some ways biblical. Honestly I can't remeber chapter and verse but it says that we need to take care of widows and children that lost husband/father. Now honestly Heath ledger wasn't narried to Michelle Willams they did have a daughter Matilda. We all know Heath deid a short time ago. he was working on a film "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus" but he didn't get to finish it. well Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Ferall (who all where playing diffrent versions Heath's character "Tim") of gave Matilda their salliers from the film because Heath's will was not updated to have his 2 year old daughter in it. I think this shows how not everyone in Hollywood are jerks and they have hearts to.

Time ECCL 3:1

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven

This verse means a lot it's tells us a lot of what we are ment to do. If you are a seasoned reader of my blog you know that this is about my 3rd blog. Mostly because of this verse. Lets break it down, ( it is easier that most time because it is 1 part).

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.It is say very very plainly NOTHING LAST FOREVER!

Now I would like to say a few more things one, yes this is a part to a really good folk song Turn Turn Turn, done by the Byrds, The Seekers ect.

But I also want to talk about a really awsome lady. As most of you know she is stepping down from her postion and Queen of Heaven youth minster. Yes, Ms. Sue. I want to THANK HER for everything she has done in her years of youth minster expecially the past 3 years. I can say she has made an impact in my life so much. Would not be who I am with out her. So THANK YOU,THANK YOU, THANK YOU MS. SUE YOU ARE AWSOME, and I wish you the BEST!

Blog Mission Statement

Most things I do I have a mission statement. Where I state what I am trying to do and I have realized that in 3 years of blogging not once have I made one. Never really had one. especially in the past year or so.
I thought and Prayed long and hard about it.

"Preaching the gospel of Jesus, with the word of God. Also to put original Posts that still reflect a religious attitude without taking away from who I am!"

1 Corinthains 10:13

"No trial has come to you but what is human. God is faithful and will not let you be tried beyond your strength; But with the trial he will also provide a way out, so that you may be able to bear it." 1 Corinthians 10:13





I feel like I need to reflect with this blog on this verse. I know people need to hear this as much as possible also. So what is Paul saying in this verse. But we should look at who Paul is writing to.
a church in Corinth a group of early Christains. It was est. in the year 51 on Paul 2nd mission. After he est. it he looked after like a father to a child. It reavles much of early church life and Paul himself and his teachings.



1st lets look at it line by line

No trail has come to you but what is human.

This is saying very bluntly that what ever we sin is human and we are not the only ones who partake is such sin. So to go there lets just use the example of masturbation or lust in young men. I don't know one teenage boy sadly that hasn't struggled with this. Or one man that is not struggling with it. This also says Man women child is suppose to hold each other accountable. ( it might be a stretch but read between the lines).



God is faithful and will not let you be tried beyond your strength

This part I think is the meat of the verse the part we must pay the most attention to. Because how many times have you questioned weather God was helping you. I know I have, But you must pray pray pray for strength to conquer the sin. If its sexual pray to Mary and Joesph. They both were chaste especially pray to Joesph because he had a choice but he was Mary's most chaste spouse . Have him pray for your strength in this sin. Remember its not also ways sin though it could be anything that is adversity. But remeber God won't give you a trial you can't hadle so Pray to God for strenght.

Last part

But with the trail he will provide a way out, so that you may be able to bear it.

The last part is also very imporant beacause it tell you what else God will do. He will give you a way to get out of the trial and it's not always sin either maybe it is that your grandma that you are very close to died it's a trail in your life. And he will provide you ways to get out of mouring of that grandma. Weather it's music or a new video game or a sport. Even pray (cough...cough).

Chosen,Broken,Blessed,Given,Taken

Sorry I missed all of you last week it was Hero's camp Queen of Heaven's vaction Bible school and on top of lifting running and spending time with loved ones. We learned about heroes of our catholic faith. This year we learned about Joshua, Paul who was Saul, Joan of Arc, Mother Thearsea, and the hero of all heroes, King of Kings, Jesus.



I relized one thing about these heroes, Joshua was Chosen, Paul who was Saul, was Broken then Blessed. Joan of Arc was Given, and Mother Thearsea was Taken to do Gods work. Beilve it or not we are also like these saints and old testement hero(s).


How are we CHOSEN:

At birth God gives us all the call, not like a baseball pitcher, calling the dugout saying ok Bob warm up your up. No, he sends us down to earth saying you are chosen by me go live for me!
We just have to listen to Gods call.

Now you may say how come some people who don't beilve in that don't beilve in God. Because that is the next point.



How can God just make us Broken:

Not only because he is God he

Paul and broke him in half. Now in my life I know have been broken. 1 Corthians 10:13 highlight that verse it says:

“No testing has overtaken you that is not common to everyone. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing he will also provide the way out so that you may be able to endure it.”

You might say Bobby what does that mean?

My question would be who wrote Corhtians? Clue it is an epsitle of the church

Answer Paul

So this man knows about being broken. I know in my life God though things like suicide not being happy with who I am death and sexual sins. Now for all you stuby conferance people, we should all use this verse because When we get back two things happean
1. satan gets in our face
2. God still tests us
I think the more retreats I go to this becomes more real. So the one thing we can do is PRAY PRAY PRAY. Sing praise or sit in quite and PRAY what ever works for you but we can't possiable go to a retreat every weekend and get that "Good feeling" personally I think thats a very chessey way of puting it. Here is a more theological way: we can't go to retreats every week that feeling of being a saint, sinless like Jesus and Mary (Mary only with out mortal sin) is very hard to keep going, we Have to pray........some people say that it's not the same we can always go to reconsialion and mass and Adoration. Next point how are we blessed.

How are we Blessed:
this one is more diffcult because as Catholics it happeans all the time, First Commuion, Confermation, whenever God wants to. But I think the better word is planned to because its all ready planned. Don't think God just wakes up, and like the grinch when Jim Carrey played him and the Grinch is in the mail room and has the people mail and goes jury duty jury duty black mail jury duty jury duty jury duty. He planned all this and gives us the free will when for this to happean.

How we are Given:
Jesus was Given for us so we could go to heaven but how are we Given. I think we give more. we give our time talent and treasure at church. We give time like the adoration chapel if you have and hour or if you have a day you go but your not signed up it still is giving time or a better one is say the church needs to be clean and you give your saturday moring to clean the church. Treasure, sunday collection or even leading a minstery we give time because you have to plan. Talent, leadership, having talent in a insrument. We are given though if your a parent you are given to your child.

finally TAKEN:
We are taken and loved by God. He loves us at birth but when we are taken It is the last stage if this was stages. God Takes us and says "hey do this for me." like he did with mother therasa.

In close remember we are Chosen at Birth, then God Breaks us remember 1 Corthians 10:13, after that he Blesses us, gives us and Takes us to do his work!

Micah 7:8

Rejoice not over me, O my enemy! though I have fallen, Iwill arise; though I sit in darkness, The LORD is my light. Micah 7:8

What do these words mean?
Lets look at it peice by piece Rejoice not over me, O my enemy!
Micah is talking about the unnamed enemy of Judah Assyria or neighboring countries Edom, which profited at Judah's down fall
I think it is deeper than that though
Who is our enemy: not the kid down the street or Tallmagde thats not the deeper meaning.
our main ENEMY is The devil, satan, lucifer. He is standing in the darkness waiting for our sin.

NEXT: though I have fallen I will arise.

Now we have a thing called cofession where we can go when we fall into mortal sin and we can have that bruden taken off of us.

though I sit in darkness the LORD will be my light

This is saying that no matter how much sin we have we can go to THE LORD GOD and lift all that to him. and say Daddy i messed up please take this away from me lets start over.

though this isn't a reading for this week I thought some people might need to hear it

How often are we to stand and shout Jesus praise and then walk away and forget his name.
WAKE UP PEOPLE WE NEED TO TELL THE WORLD ABOUT JESUS ALL THE TIME SHOUT IT TELL YOUR WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TELL THE WORLD HE LIVES IN THE BREAD AND WINE THAT BECOMES BODY AND BLOOD.

COME ON, TELL THE WORLD ABOUT HIM!!!!!!!
